I have explored the dichotomy of nature, man-made processes, and how these man-made processes can impact nature. The image of tattoos on skin is an ideal example of this, as tattoos are a permanent alteration to the naturalness of the human body. The tattoos depict nature in order to show the irony of this genre of tattoo, but also the beauty of how nature and man can work harmoniously. That relationship between nature and man is deeply intertwined, since man is composed of nature, yet makes a mark on it as well.
