In my art I pursue realism through the use of light, shadow, texture, and detail. This reflects my belief that although a lot can be recognized by form alone, texture also plays a key part in defining an object. With this approach I use texture to emphasize the never ending struggle between humankind and nature, and our attempt to reverse its effects on our civilization.
