My concentration explores the insecurities and pressures teenagers face at an extremely vulnerable stage of life. The textures and lines in the background of each piece represent the physical, societal, or mental limits that teenagers face. The figures lack realistic skin tones and facial features because they are meant to represent no particular individual, allowing each viewer to interpret the piece through their own personal lens.
