I want my art to look like captured moments of time. I think especially because I use a lot of figures in my art, it emphasizes the idea of movement and how I try to capture a single moment. I make art to express emotion, but I also value aesthetics. Personally, I like to maintain realistic values especially in peoples structure and anatomy. However, I have been trying to incorporate more abstract shapes and colors especially in my backgrounds. I am doing this to challenge myself creatively and extend the meaning of my pieces. I make my art work visually pleasing while telling stories at the same time.
