These are selected pages from a children's book that I began to write and illustrate in the summer of 2016. It's about a girl named Chaya, who sets out to unravel the mystery of her family's heritage. The purpose of my project was to explore how words and images can be used together to tell a story which highlights both the magic and the darkness of the unknown.
