Finding, creating, and building personal connections and relationships is essential to a human's experience and growth. In each piece, I use various objects and symbols to represent my relationship with a specific individual. When creating these pieces I think about what physical objects, thoughts, and emotions define my relationship with the individual. However, once the work is a finished product I do not feel that it is my place as the artist to explain them. It is up to the viewer to create their own understanding and connection with the piece, whatever it may be.
