Sophia Vatakis
In my drawings, I portray the stories of immigrants hailing from all over the world. In the current political climate, nationalists like Donald Trump and Marine Le Pen are using immigrants to promote a racist agenda. I am trying to humanize immigrants and show that they themselves are victims seeking refuge from terror and other injustices, and that they are not perpetrators of injustice like they are often portrayed.
