Yiran Huo
I am investigating the combination of the world I see and the world I imagine in my art pieces. The world is different in everyone’s eyes. My art puts reality together with my imagination to form complete pictures. They break the boundaries between reality and imagination. I believe that what one thinks affects the lens he/she sees through. I express this idea by using realism and abstraction at the same time. The characters are realistic and there are imaginary elements that interact with them. The pieces don’t have a common “thesis”. They are all moments, people or animals that stay in my memory and I find interesting, allowing my audience to get a peek at my world in my head.
