In this portfolio, the majority were influenced by nature. Similar to the first portfolio, these artworks are usually a variety of media, or whatever looks the best for expressing my idea. For example, the piece "Childhood Tree" was made out of crayons because crayons represent childhood for me. However, some media were assigned to me and were just practice. For the artwork influenced by nature, I used references to keep some realistic aspects to the piece. Just like the first portfolio, I also use thumbnail sketches to make my idea clear and planned out. A difference in this portfolio compared to the previous one, was that I layered a lot and spent time working on each layer before starting a new one. I mainly made these works because I had an idea I wanted to express or because I wanted to study nature.
