For this portfolio, I mainly focused on the sense of desire. However, the meaning of these works is subjective. I work in multiple different types of media. I also enjoy exploring the different ways of expressing my ideas through these media. When I make art, I don't have a planned schedule on how and when I will finish the pieces. However, I do have some structure in how I make art. I always start with thumbnail sketches to see which composition I like the most, but for the rest of the process, it depends on how I want the piece to look. For example, the piece, Coming Together was made out of gouache, colored pencil, and chalk because I believed it was the best way to express my idea. After my thumbnail sketches, I usually test out which colors work the best and what textures to use to add detail to the piece. The main reason why I created this work is because it can express my feelings and opinions. However, sometimes I make these pieces because it's aesthetically pleasing or because I want to try out a new medium.
